The SciTech Society, Prithvi Narayan Campus (PNC) successfully organized a Public Speaking Workshop on Friday, 2083 Ashadh 26 (July 10, 2026) at 11:00 AM in the Science Seminar Hall, Room No. 147, White House Building, Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara.
The workshop was formally launched under the chairmanship of Mr. Sujit Prasad Kushwaha. Mr. Bijay Bahadur Thapa attended the program as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Khadka Bahadur Chhetri, Head of Department of Physics, Prithivi Narayan Campus, attended the program as the Special Guest. The session was facilitated by Mr. Prakash Chandra Giri, an instructional designer and PhD scholar at Pokhara University.
The program witnessed the participation of 49 student along with executive members of the SciTech Society, PNC, reflecting the society's commitment to enhancing students' communication and leadership skills.
During the interactive session, Mr. Giri emphasized the importance of effective communication, confidence building, audience engagement, leadership through public speaking, and practical presentation techniques. Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical exercises designed to improve their speaking abilities and overcome stage fear.
Speaking at the event, the organizers highlighted that such workshops play a vital role in preparing students for academic presentations, professional careers, and leadership opportunities. The participants expressed their appreciation for the practical learning experience and requested similar skill-development programs in the future.
The workshop concluded successfully with a vote of thanks from the organizing committee, reaffirming the SciTech Society PNC's dedication to fostering innovation, communication skills, and overall personality development among students.
